Guyabano

Guyabano

Before guyabano was given less attention and i think one of less expensive fruit in the market. But now the price of this fruit grows so fast. You will wonder why?, because this fruit is so easy to grow and you do not need to spray the plant to produced fruit because this will produced fruits on it's season.

I just found out the reason why. According to scientific research guyabano tree, it's fruit, bark, leaves is a natural cancer cell killer. A scientific research in 1976 shows that one of the chemical element of guyabano tree is 10,000 times more potent that chemotherapeutic drug Adriamycin.

The extract from the trees shows that it can effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer. What is more amazing is that unlike chemotherapy, the compound extracted from the Guyabano tree just selectively hunts down and kills only the cancer cells and it does not harm healthy cells. Various parts of the tree including the bark, roots, leaves, and fruit-seeds have been used for centuries by native Indians in South America to treat asthma, arthritis liver problems and heart disease.

The National Cancer Institute performed the first scientific research in 1976. The results showed that Guyabano leaves and stems were shown effective in attacking and destroying malignant cells. Since 1976, laboratory tests had proven that Guyabano to be immensely potent cancer killer in 20 independent laboratory tests.
A study at Purdue University recently found that leaves from the Guyabano tree killed cancer cells among six human cell lines and were especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers.

Advantages of Grafted Mangoes

Grafting is the most reliable and economical means of propagating the mango. This is done by transferring a piece of mature bearing tree called scion, separate a seedling tree (root stock) into a permanent union. Scion should be on top and the root stock at the bottom.

Maintain variety – grafting will assure that the clone or the identical nature of the plant will be maintained and can perpetuate the specific variety of the plant. If you plant seed the resulting plant will not be identical to the mother tree.

Improve Horticulture - grafted trees respond differently than a seed tree. From seed it bloom’s or bring fruit about 7-9 years. Grafted trees will bear fruit from 2-3 years, it doesn’t have thorns, bloom early and can make tree productive.

Avocado Seedlings For Sale

Avocados are commercially valuable and are cultivated in tropical and Mediterranean climates throughout the world. They have a green-skinned, fleshy body that may be pear-shaped, egg-shaped, or spherical. Commercially, it ripens after harvesting. Trees are partially self-pollinating and often are propagated through grafting to maintain a predictable quality and quantity of the fruit.

Avocado Nutrition Information

Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They also act as a "nutrient booster" by enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients, such as alpha and beta-carotene and lutein, in foods that are eaten with the fruit.

Avocados and Cardiovascular

Disease Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, but a healthy diet and exercise plan may help reduce your risk of developing the life-threatening illness. The American Heart Association (AHA) Dietary Guidelines recommend a diet that has at least five servings of fruits and vegetables, contains up to 30% of calories from fats (primarily unsaturated) and is low in saturated fat, cholesterol, trans fats and sodium while being rich in potassium. Avocados can help you meet the AHA dietary guidelines because they have both monosaturated and polyunsaturated fat and contain potassium.

Avocado was proven to help hair becomes shiny because of its high vitamin B and E content that can promote healthy scalp and the growth of new strand. It is also full of healthy mono unsaturated fat to plump up and moisturize hair follicles. Say's by a clinical nutritionist Cynthia Pasquella.
